What drew me to DW Distribution was that it was a family owned business. Also, I enjoy the fellow coworkers. I am inspired by our commitment to do our best for DW and DW’s customers. Working for a company that continues to grow keeps me challenged and engaged in my work.
In 2003, DW hired me for a newly created Executive Assistant role supporting Sales and Marketing. DW continues to encourage not only me, but all my fellow co-workers, to make learning a life-long commitment. For example, during my 14-year tenure, I earned my CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) accreditation; attend peer networking workshops and trainings to empower me to continue to develop leadership skills, update current skills and master new ones. In addition, I earned the opportunity to lead Lean efforts for both sales and marketing and currently serve as a member of the DW Cares Team which supports community and employee relations.
I have been with DW Distribution for 19 years. I have had the pleasure of working with three generations of the Potter family and they are passionate about the business, their employees, our customers and our vendors. I am proud to be a part of the DW family!
